The unveiling of the new state-wide campaign was designed to coincide with the Department of Homeland Security's National Preparedness Month which ended in September. According to Napolitano, "Arizona is at the forefront of emergency preparedness efforts. ... 'Just in Cast Arizona' is the next step in our commitment to ensuring the safety and well being of all Arizonans." The campaign, "provides simple steps that families can take to prepare themselves for an emergency situation, and offers tips for developing plans for home, school and work," the release read. The development of the preparedness website was supplemented by the Arizona 2-1-1 state news site that provides information about disasters, emergencies and other urgent news. The Arizona 2-1-1 site "was developed in partnership with government, tribal, non-profit and community groups" the site posted.
