The notification system will be built by 3n (National Notification Network. The system will use 3n's "system for unified, consistent messaging to CHS employees in an emergency." The notification system provider 3n is currently working with more than 2,000 corporations, government agencies, healthcare systems, and educational institutions around the world in more than 70 countries. Its communications systems are customizable and interoperable. In addition to grain and food stuffs, CHS also operates petroleum refineries/piplines and manufactures the Cenex© brand refined fuels.
